Primarily focused in painting and interested in sculpture and photography as well, I grew up in a small conservative town in Ohio which heavily molded my artistic outlook on the weight of shame, the vitality of suffering, and the connection of death. I’m largely motivated by the idea of connecting to people in the near or far future and communicating the connections all humans share in hope and fears as well as the existentialism that is attached to the act of living in a secular world and invisibly attached to the religious world.
