Photography
Focused in abstracting daily sights that one might see without paying much mind, I use photography to depict straightforward scenes in obscure manners. I typically use inexpensive film cameras to obscure my images and allow my shots to fall short of displaying what was actually captured. Along with using low or high exposure, I occasionally combine multiple slides into one and leave much the the technically parts of the film roll showing.

Weight of Distance
Leaving the space that is tied directly to one's early development, especially one built around shame, makes it hard to create a space of comfort or safety wherever you go because the weight of that shame never leaves. With each picture connected visually in varying degrees, in Weight of Distance I captured scenes that could be hundreds of miles away from one another or just down the street.

Never More than Once
Seeing the same thing twice does not make it the same thing, in Never More than Once I used same/similar imagery in sets of two to highlight that with each second to pass parts of the world around you become different from the last time you experienced it. Whether away from something for years or minutes, every experience with it is completely unique, even just through basic perspective or tiny details.
